Xin Xin

Xin Xin is a visual artist whose work delves into the profound connection between healing and abstraction. Born in Beijing, China, and raised in Seattle, Washington, Xin holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Sales from the University of Washington. After spending two years in the corporate world, she embarked on a transformative four-year journey of solo travel around the globe. This experience rekindled her passion for art, leading her to transition back into marketing at a local art school upon her return. Art has been a constant presence in Xin's life since the age of three, evolving from a personal exploration to a powerful medium for self-healing. Her artistic journey has flourished through solo exhibitions with notable organizations such as Shunpike, the City of Tukwila, the City of Burien, Arts West, and various galleries and shops across the Seattle and East Side areas. Since 2022, Xin has also embraced teaching art, sharing the joy of creative expression with a diverse range of students, including children, adults, and the elderly.

Artist Inspiration

Xin Xin's artistic practice is rooted in the exploration of healing emotions through the language of abstraction. Her work is inspired by her personal experiences, travels, and the healing power of creativity. Each piece serves as a reflection of her inner journey, using color, form, and texture to convey complex emotional landscapes. The mural around the 1st Ave N Stairs, derived from an original watercolor painting, encapsulates her vision of creating spaces that foster connection and contemplation. Through her art, Xin seeks to inspire others to embrace their own emotional journeys and discover the transformative power of artistic expression. By combining her love for art with her dedication to teaching, she strives to cultivate a supportive environment where individuals of all ages can explore their creativity and find solace in the process.
